Self-introductions

Hey all, so I thought we'd all introduce ourselves, say a bit about ourselves so we can get to know each other better. I guess I'll start lol.

I'm Naomi, I was born in Hayward and grew up here in the Bay Area. Right now I live in San Lorenzo which is right next to Hayward. I'm 20 and I go to Cal State East Bay in Hayward, majoring in Psychology. I hope to help kids one day with problems I've dealt with growing up. I'm actually also a Sunday School teacher, 1st grade, which is really great. I love little kids.

I am half Japanese, half American (white) and I can speak some Japanese (took it in college). I've played the violin since I was three, but I've kinda stopped in the last few years. I love listening to music (especially David of course!), hanging out with my friends, and reading books. Harry Potter used to be my obsession for years until David came along. I was a real hardcore HP fanatic/freak lol and I knew like everything there was to know and it was all I talked about, and now I hardly even think about HP anymore lol. David completely took over and I have major ODD. I have loved him ever since he sang Imagine on AI. He has such a beautiful voice and an even more beautiful soul. He is just amazing. I went to the San Jose AI concert and the Sac Jingle Ball, and they were absolutely amazing, but I didn't get to meet him at either like I was trying to do. So I'm still hoping I'll get my chance to meet him one day. He just means so much to me and I really want to tell him that in person.

hey! i'm janelle and i'm also 20. i'm a third year at UC Davis, but i grew up in vallejo. i go home to the bay like every other day so it's not like i left lol. at UCD i'm majoring in biochemistry and molecular biology with a theatre minor. i'm hoping to be a research scientist one day and cure lupus. i'm in winterguard, Deviation Winter Ensemble, if you want to check me out this winter season =] so with saying i'm in guard, i obviously am a dancer. i also love music, i play the flute and piano: i used to be in band, but i don't really go anymore. i love art - i like drawing and writing and architecture. i also just love performing. some things i'm really into include twilight, harry potter, narnia and time quartet series. i love fantasy world things. i'm filipino and i love jesus. i started having ODD in march and no celebrity has ever captivated me as much as david [my bf hates him because i love david so much lol]. i met him at AI sac, and he was just awesome and i'd love to meet him again. i went to the sac jingle ball and well not as great on trying to meet him but he totally rocked the concert. hmm yup i don't have school anymore so i'm totally free to get to know you guys =] on the radio i asked david a question about what he's doing for his bday, the interviewer said i should throw him a party and david say "hey maybe" lol - we should go celebrate david's bday together... haha

Haha, I JUST updated my page to include my information, so I'll copy and paste that here. =p

My name is Karen, I'm 20 years old, and I'm currently in my third year at San Francisco State University as a journalism major. I hope to graduate next year with my degree and move to New York to work for a big-name entertainment, teen, or women's magazine. In the meantime, I'm just trying to concentrate on being a student, and also working at my part-time job as an office clerk at a downtown San Francisco law firm.

I've always been a fan of David Archuleta, ever since seeing his audition, but he totally grew on me in the last weeks of the competition, and my love totally shot up for him during the tour. I can now say he's one of my favorite Idols ever, and to be able to have met him several times and just have him in my life through his music is SUCH a blessing. Season 7 is my favorite partially cuz of Archie, but I really do love everyone in the top 10! My other favorites include David Cook, Carly Smithson, Michael Johns, Syesha Mercado, and Ramiele Malubay. Some of my other faves from past seasons include Kelly Clarkson, Jasmine Trias, Jennifer Hudson, Bo Bice, Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry, Elliott Yamin, Chris Richardson, Blake Lewis, Jordin Sparks, Gina Glocksen, and Melinda Doolittle.

I'm also a huge So You Think You Can Dance fan. My other general interests include writing, creating graphics on Photoshop, LiveJournal / YouTube / Facebook / MySpace / IdolForums, listening to all types of music, movies, theater, dance, traveling, and exploring my beautiful hometown of San Francisco.

Aww yay, nice to meet you Janelle! I love fantasy too! I'm also a huge fan of Lord of the Rings. And cool, UC Davis, I know some people that go there haha.

Oh that's so cool you want to be work for a magazine company! You could write about Archie lol and maybe interview him sometime! And yeah it's funny how we're all 20 here so far in this discussion lol. I'm only a second year college student though, unlike you two. Yeah it annoys me how everyone is saying that only "teens and tweens" love Archie. Ugh. People of ALL ages (and places and sexes) love Archie! Haha. He's captured all of our hearts.

yeah - i totally hate how they stereotype his fan group. i can say at the arco, i was surprised by how many older archies there were. =] haha i'm a third year but will probably graduate the same time as second years. ooh i loved watching lord of the rings but i haven't read it yet. i hope you do get into a major magazine company karen! =] my friends go to sf state. haha. it's so awesome that we're near each other!

I guess I'm the oldest one in this group. I'm over 30. haha...I go to CSUEB after my work. heehee...
I just love David. His music, voice, smiles, personality, etc...He's an amazing person. As an artist, as a human, as a man, I admire him.
I went to San Jose AI tour, Sacramento Jingle ball, and LA Tree lighting event. All three concerts were life time experience to me. I'll never forget that moment.
I'll support David as much as I can.

Hey Janelle i know u from facebook! Anyhow I went to the San Jose idol tour, it was so much fun! Unfortunatly i couldn't get a ride to Sacramento Jingle Ball. I can't wait for his solo concert, hopefully he comes to the bay area!! :-D
